kevin & jodi's home

Hello!

The weekend is almost here and I'm so excited for family time, fireside convos and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. I might even get my mom to help me plant a vertical garden! But, before the weekend is officially here, I wanted to share this amazing transformation with you! Enter....Kevin and Jodi's home redecoration project! What an amazing opportunity it was for me to work with Jodi on sprucing up her kitchen and living room (the new paint colour also made it's way down the hallway!). This was my very first project under my professional title of Interior Designer and it was a huge learning process for me. The transformation encompassed everything from paint colour, window dressings, furniture, rug, lighting, etc. It was such a fun opportunity for me, and even more fun that I got to work with a friend! Jodi is incredibly talented in woodworking and is willing to tackle almost any project. She also has a very eclectic style which was so fun to work with.

Here's the living room before:

And here's what it looks like after: (insert squeal of joy)

One thing I really loved about working with Jodi was her adventurous spirit with colour. She was definitely not afraid to add bold pops of colour into her space, and I think overall, it made this space look so eclectic and fun.

Some of the ideas and items that we wanted for this space, we were unable to find in stores. Because Jodi is so handy, a couple diy projects were tackled! Jodi made this lamp from an art easel that was passed down to Jodi by her great uncle. The gold stump side table along with the wooden window valance were also diy projects. Love adding touches to a space that have great personal value....makes everything feel so much more unique!

This mirror (above) was also a diy....and free!

And down the hallway:

Loved these pieces! Artwork handed down to Jodi from her Gramma.

Such a fun project! Thank you Jodi for letting me help you with this transformation! Happy Thursday everyone....enjoy the weekend!
