it has been awhile....

Hello there! It has been quite awhile since I have been on here....honestly I'm not exactly sure how time has slipped away from me. I thought I would share an update of some of the things that have been happening lately.

I've been working on two kitchen consults, both with totally different inspiration images. One is inspired by the beautiful kitchen of Suzanne Dimma....

Around here there has been lots going on. I'm a tad disappointed because my Nikon camera is on the fritz right now so all my photos are iPhone quality, but I guess that will have to do!

For the past two months, my hubby was working on the field as a hired-man so there was lots of opportunity to join him on the field for tractor/combine rides...

Early this September my Grandpa went to be with Jesus. What a blessing it was to go to the funeral where almost all of my extended family was able to make it. It was so nice to catch up with cousins and watch our kiddos play together. This is my Gramma...she is truly an incredible woman....this picture (by my talented cousin, Tara Funk) just fills my heart. There is so much love captured in this photo....

Me and this little monkey.....we're still adjusting to our days when it's just the two of us! I asked him the other day if he missed his sisters when they're at school, his response "Nope!!" I think he's quite liking his days when its just him :)

Around the house, furniture, decor, anything that can move has been moving! I find that rearranging and finding new homes for old pieces is refreshing and almost therapeutic. I love being able to create new spaces with the items that already exist in my home. Don't get me wrong....it doesn't stop me from dreaming and continuing to create my dream lists of things I'd like to add, but for now things are being shuffled around and finding new spots (hopefully I can add some photos of our updated look soon!).

And I've gotten majorly into the diy wall yarn hangings! Still trying to find the perfect place for this one...plus going to add some more I think!

I'm loving the DIY inspiration (except I honestly can't remember where I got it from!! Sorry!) for updating these Ikea cabinets. This just might become my new console table for our entrance...I cannot get enough of this colour combo!

Which brings me to fall! Playing in the leaves, enjoying an amazingly warm and long fall season and celebrating Thanksgiving with my fam :)

And as of this past Monday, Evie turned 5! What a treat it was that my parents made the trip out and that Joel and Dani were able to join us for pizza and cake!
