random thoughts for thursday

Hello Thursday...

What a crazy week we have had over at our place! A cold has been circulating through our whole house...and I haven't caught it yet, so here's hoping that it skipped me! But with kiddos being under-the-weather, honestly not much has gotten accomplished around the house. So I've been browsing for inspiration and trying to find little ways to refresh and update my space. I may also be avoiding the huge task of prepping and painting my cupboards....I'm motivating myself to get started with the realization that it will be like having a brand new kitchen once I'm done!

I've been looking for inspiration for our open shelves and thought that I had wanted floating ones, kind of like this....

But then I ran into these....and now I'm a bit confused as to what to do! Aren't they beautiful?! Which ones would you pick?

Then I ran into this picture....and I desperately want to add a pink door to our house....even though I just insisted we get rid of all the pink in our kitchen! Not sure what my hubby would say about a pink door but I think it's absolutely lovely.....and perfect for Valentine's Day, right?!

And finally, I thought I would just round up a few of the images on my iPhone and show you some shots from around our house and the things that make me smile....

I added a pretty boho-inspired feature wall in our entry (top left) which I'm quite liking, all though I might be adding some more knick-knacks to it.

Our tile pattern and a picture of our kitchen in it's current state. I'm beyond happy that we did a waterfall edge countertop and I'm loving the concrete! Plus we added a new faucet (bottom right) which I'm absolutely loving! And it honestly updates the kitchen so much!
